【Event Purpose】
To promote exchange and connection between indigenous hometown youth organizations and indigenous students on campus, this event invites core members of the Kanakanavu Youth Association and leaders of the university’s indigenous student clubs to engage in dialogue. Through the sharing of practical experiences in operating the youth association, students will gain a better understanding of how, in an era when indigenous youth are rapidly leaving their home communities, youth associations are still able to bring young people together and maintain cultural ties and a sense of belonging. At the same time, the event encourages students to reflect on the campus context—particularly how, given the wide differences in self-identification and level of participation among indigenous students, they can stimulate cultural curiosity, enhance motivation to participate, and explore possible ways to build group cohesion and sustain cultural continuity. Through this two-way exchange, both indigenous and non-indigenous students are expected to be inspired, deepen their understanding of the diversity of ethnic cultures, and recognize the shared value of promoting them together.
