Prevention and Health Management Seminar for the Three Highs

Participants:
Indigenous older adults and community members of the Laflan Cultural Health Station.

Purpose:
This seminar on the prevention and health management of the Three Highs (hypertension, hyperglycemia, and hyperlipidemia) aims to enhance health literacy among Indigenous older adults at the Laflan Cultural Health Station in Taoyuan District, Kaohsiung City. The seminar seeks to strengthen participants’ abilities in self-health management and daily care, and to improve their understanding of the causes, risk factors, and early warning signs of the Three Highs. By integrating Indigenous cultural perspectives and community support, the seminar supports older adults in developing correct health concepts and self-monitoring habits, thereby promoting a culturally sensitive, health-oriented living environment within the community.
