Indigenous Health Care and Cultural Sustainability Research Center Advocates Sustainable Progress for Urban Indigenous Communities

Curated by the official website of the Indigenous Health Care and Cultural Sustainability Research Center, Kaohsiung Medical University, this initiative adopts a medical education–oriented perspective to address the diverse needs of urban Indigenous peoples in health promotion, daily care, and cultural identity.

During the event, the Center presented a preliminary draft of a medical education picture book. Through storytelling and visual narratives, health knowledge and care concepts were translated into accessible formats while being deeply embedded in Indigenous cultural contexts. The picture book serves as an important medium for promoting health education and advancing culturally responsive and Indigenous-friendly medical care.

Through cross-disciplinary collaboration, the initiative seeks to raise public awareness of sustainable development and health equity for urban Indigenous communities, while highlighting the value of integrating culture, education, and health care in long-term Indigenous well-being.
