This mental health promotion seminar aimed to enhance mental health literacy among students at Namasia Junior High School, strengthen their abilities in emotional regulation and self-care, and improve their understanding of signs of psychological distress and available help-seeking resources. The seminar also incorporated perspectives of Indigenous culture and community support to foster positive help-seeking attitudes and psychological resilience, thereby creating a culturally sensitive and supportive mental health environment on campus.

II. Activity Features and Implementation

Centered on students’ daily life experiences, the seminar employed a combination of lectures, interactive questioning, and scenario-based sharing to guide students in recognizing emotional changes and understanding the importance of mental health. Students also learned basic strategies for emotional regulation and self-care.

Indigenous cultural elements were integrated throughout the session, highlighting the important roles of peer support, family relationships, and tribal resources in maintaining mental well-being. These approaches helped students develop positive attitudes toward seeking help. Overall, the seminar was conducted smoothly, with active student participation. Students responded enthusiastically, shared their thoughts openly, and the activity successfully achieved its intended mental health promotion outcomes.
